The same author also has other projects which include a fully automated tool that can translate RAW manga.īecause all these tools are depended on machine translations the results can vary but one of his projects is just to address that by training a fully autonomous-offline AI model to translate japanese and as of now its already producing better results than google translate. There's a tool called Visual Novel OCR that does not depend on hcodes and such to grab the text because as the name implies it uses OCR instead and therefore works with all games without much hassle. ITH worked for it, but I personally prefer AGTH. I used it because a game needed an hcode and I couldn't get agth to work with them. But it's convenient, far more convenient than using google translate on many many lines of dialogue in nearly real time (there's a short delay).ģ.ITH. Like Google translate or bing or whatever you use, it's still machine translation, it seems to be a bit worse actually than Google translate on that front.
The result is a much more convenient way to play the game if I need to know what is going on. So basically I launch a game using agth, which hooks the text and copies it to the clipboard, I also open quickatlas, and tell that to monitor the clipboard and automatically translate the text. You can also use google translate, but google translate doesn't have clipboard detection.
